Hotel description:    Welcome Hotel is located by highway E18, just 18 km from the centre of Stockholm and 25 km from Arlanda airport. Outside the entrance is a large, free carpark, and Barkarby train station is right next door, with direct services to Stockholm Central Station.

After a major renovation in 2000 it now has 158 rooms, 9 conference rooms, group rooms, a restaurant, gym and two separate houses for long-term accommodation.

The hotel has 158 attractive, comfortable rooms, of which more than 90 per cent are non-smoking. All rooms have bathroom, shower, radio and TV, and all guests have access to a cordless phone during their stay. Several rooms are also adapted for people with allergies or disabilities.

As our guest you also have access to wireless internet, at no extra charge. If you don’t have a computer with you, you can use our IT corner in the hotel lounge.

Getting there: Welcome Hotel is positioned close to the E18 in the north west part of Stockholm. It takes only a few minutes to get to Barkaby commuter train station, 15 minutes to Stockholm Central Station. Älvsjömässan takes only another 15 minutes to reach.


E4 highway from the north: Follow signs towards Stockholm. Turn off towards Sollentuna, then follow instructions above.

E18 highway from the north: Follow signs for Stockholm and then Jakobsberg. Then turn right two times. You will pass IKEA on your left side. Continue straight, past the turn-off for Veddesta. You now have Barkarby airfield on your left. At the next intersection turn right, and then immediately left before the bridge.
